New York should:

  • Include Cannabis Sativa >.3%THC in the Agriculture and Markets Law precisely as was done when the state legalized Cannabis Sativa <.3% THC.

  • Provide Zoning Immunity for Growers in Agricultural Districts.

  • Promote Sun-grown Regenerative Cannabis as the Model of Climate-Friendly Farming.

  • Require All Cannabis be Grown Synthetic Chemical-Free.

  • Restrict Indoor Cultivation Due to Harmful Environmental Impacts.

  • Keep New York’s Cannabis Money in New York State.

  • Limit the Risk of Industrial Takeover by Encouraging Small Business Opportunities.

  • Empower Rural and Urban Communities.

  • Build an Inclusive and Equitable Cannabis Industry in New York.

Talking Points for Supporters In addition to the Platform, we’ve prepared a list of talking points that can be used to talk to government officials, businesses and interested parties.

Attend your local Town or Village Board Meetings, which are usually open to the public. Make sure your local community and county officials understand that craft cannabis is good for your local economy, it creates jobs and provides stability for farmers, as well as being beneficial to our environment.
